Time for a prize give-away. Behind the scenes we are working on an entirely new website. Therefore updates on this website have been rather scarce lately. That's why you now have the opportunity to win an original World Cup-bib together with an original race hat (the sweat's still inside). I'm giving away 5 of these packages!
It has been a season with a lot of ups and downs, but now it's finally over. As a matter of fact, preparations for the new season (and the new Olympic cycle!) are already on their way. The first three weeks of proper training are already behind me! The reason I wanted to wait with coming out with some new developments is simply because a lot was unclear up until just now. And even though there still is a lot of change in progress, here are some new developments I did not want to keep to myself any longer;
Finally I seem to be getting in some kind of shape in skiing. Throughout the 4-week race period after the Christmas holiday I could tell that I finally felt somewhat powerful on ski's. This is how we planned it before the season started, but we planned to be in good shape before Christmas and in great shape after Christmas, which obviously didn't work out that way. Having a cold at the beginning of January didn't help much either, but for now it's more important to focus on the things that are ahead. One of those things ahead is the IBU Cup upcoming weekend, in which I want to convert my improving shape into good race results.
Last week in Altenberg, now I'm back in Ruhpolding for the World Cup. Altenberg went pretty well. A little cold at the end of the Christmas break put me back a little bit. But in sort of a snow blizzard in Altenberg I assured myself a reasonable result by shooting flawless. Now I'm hoping to get the ski shape back.
